Home to just over 78,000 residents, Edmond is an attractive and vibrant community located just minutes north of Oklahoma City. The best in schools, parks, recreation, shopping, dining and culture can all be found here. In fact, Edmond was named as one of the “Top 100 Places to Live in 2007” by Relocate America, and as one of “America’s Top Rated Smaller Cities in 2006-07” by Universal Publications.

Not only is Edmond rich in livability, it is rich in historic charm as well. Edmond is one of the oldest cities in the state, and as a result, has a beautiful and historic downtown chock full of boutiques and restaurants. Near downtown, the University of Central Oklahoma -- founded in 1903 and today, the state’s third largest public university -- gives Edmond a youthful and energetic vibe that greatly contributes to the community’s quality of life. UCO’s theatre and music programs enrich Edmond with plays, concerts and other entertainment events. UCO’s music department even has its own live performance venue, known as the “Jazz Lab.” Located just south of downtown, the Jazz Lab hosts many well-known performers throughout the year, and has become one of the most popular entertainment venues in the area.

Adding to Edmond’s appeal is its proximity to Oklahoma City and surrounding areas. Lake Arcadia, located just a few minutes east of town, beckons with year-round recreational opportunities such as boating, hiking, fishing, camping and more.  The historic town of Guthrie, 15 miles north on Interstate 35, features a quaint downtown with antique shops, cafes, museums and more. And of course, nearby Oklahoma City provides ample “big city” attractions such as major concerts and events, great museums, professional sports, and exciting nightlife.

Real Estate in Edmond is very diverse. Here, you can find dazzling Victorian-era homes, charming Craftsman bungalows, as well as high-quality new construction, “urban-style” condominium developments and gated golf course communities.   And the best part: home prices and overall cost of living in Edmond is much lower than the national average.  In Edmond, you really can have it all… and have it all for less!
